On Friday, October 18th, Sherwood’s Dual Language parent committee sponsored a wonderful Pot Luck/Talent Show night. This event brought together the SW families while sharing cultural aspects of the roots of the families. In addition to various ethnic food dishes to share and a student activity, this year, two dance troops came for entertainment, and an “ofrenda” was created to honor the upcoming “Day of the Dead”, however the student talent show was the “main event” of the night!
A local “baile folklórico” dance group as well as dancers from HPHS performed. The students and their families contributed to the “ofrenda” by bringing in flowers, sugar skulls, small pumpkins, gourds and pictures of loved ones.
